Ar Ionawr 21ain, cynhaliwyd cyfarfod cyntaf y Gyfadran Gymreig o'r 2012. Hefyd ym mis Ionawr, cynhaliawyd cyfarfodydd o'r Cymdeithasau Undodaidd yn Y Smotyn Du, ac yn Ne Ddwyrain Cymru. Daeth yn amlwg yn y cyfarfodydd yma, bod yna rhestr cyffrous o gwaith o'n blaenau fel Undodiaid yng Nghymru dros y misoedd nesaf...

• Gwneud cais i ddod yn aelodau o Gyngor Rhyng-ffydd Cymru.
• Sefydlu Swyddog Datblygu yng Nghaerdydd.
• Yr Eisteddfod Genedlaethol: cystadleuthau a gweithgareddau newydd i bobl ifanc.
• Coffau Iolo Morgannwg - Undodwr a sylfaenydd yr Eisteddfod fodern.
• Datblygu'r cyfrif "Twitter" llwyddianus gyda theclunau megis HootSuite.
  
• Trefnu ymgyrch ar fater cyhoeddus o bwys.
• Diwygio cyfansoddiadau capeli ac eglwysi Undodaidd Cymru ar gyfer y byd modern.
• Gweithgarwch yn G.A. yr Undodiaid (Keele, Swydd Stafford): hybu - a dathlu - ein gweladwyedd.
  
• Ceisio sefydlu darlith flynyddol i hybu Undodaeth yng Nghmru.
• Datblygu ein proffeil yn y wasg Gymreig.

Ond beth yw holl bwrpas yr holl gweithgarwch yma? Onid oes peryg o golli golwg ar y ein nod yng nghanol yr holl brysurdeb?

Na. Pwrpas y brysurdeb yw ceisio argyhoeddu pobl mae'r Undodiaid sydd yn cynnig y ffydd mwyaf ystyrlon ar gyfer byd cymleth ein canrif ni. Dim ond Yr Undodiaid sy'n cynnig ymateb cadarn, a fodern, i grefyddau traddodiadol ar y naill law, a'r anffyddwyr ar y llaw arall. Cerddwn Ymlaen!

On January 21st, the first meeting of the Unitarian Welsh Department was held. Also in January, meetings of the two Unitarian societies, in Ceredigion and in South East Wales, were also held. During these meetings, it became clear that we have an exciting programme of work as Unitarians in Wales over the next few months....

• An application to become members of the Wales Inter-Faith Council.
• Establishing a Development Officer in Cardiff.
• The National Eisteddfod: competitions and activities for young people.
• Honouring Iolo Morgannwg: Unitarian and founder of the modern Eisteddfod.
• Developing the succesful Twitter feed using techniques such as "HootSuite".
• Organising a single-issue campaign on a public issue of relevance.
• Reforming the constitutions of Wales' Unitarian chapels and churches for the modern world.
• Welsh activity at the Unitarian GA: promoting - and celebrating - our visibility.
• Trying to establish an annual lecture to promote Unitarianism in Wales.
• Persevering with developing our media profile in Wales.
  

But what is the purpose of all this activity? Is there a danger that we could lose our sight of our aims in the midst of all this busyness?

No. The purpose of the busyness is to try and persuade people that the Unitarians offer the most meaningful faith for the complex world of our times. Only the Unitarians offer a strong but modern "middle way" to orthodox religions on one hand, and strident atheists on the other. We walk on!
